Noticeboard

The Haydon Bridge Health Centre Dispensary is now running at a reduced service for the foreseeable future.   The dispensary will now be open Monday to Wednesday 8.00 until 18:00 and closing between 12.00 and 13.15.    The dispensary will not be open on Thursdays and Fridays.  Please can you ensure medication is ordered and collected during these times.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Online booking system – new log-in details

We have recently changed our clinical system to one that is used widely across other local healthcare services.  This new system will help improve how our healthcare professionals share important information to benefit your care.

Our new online booking system is now up and running, please contact us to receive new log-ins to enable you to book an appointment or order repeat prescriptions online.

If you are already registered with our online booking service for appointments and repeat prescriptions, you do not need to re-register. However as this is a different system, you will need new log-in details – please request these now by contacting the surgery either in person or by telephone.  Log in details can be given to you in person or posted to your address.

Please note the new log-in details won’t be automatically issued, you will need to contact us to request these.

Thank you for your co-operation.

NEW COMPUTER SYSTEM:

During April we are changing the clinical system we use to one that is used widely across other local healthcare services.  This will help us join our clinical systems with other parts of the local NHS and ensure the right information is available to the different healthcare professionals who are responsible for treating our patients.

We wanted to make you aware of some temporary changes as we safely change our systems over the next few weeks:

  • For a few days in late April we are offering slightly fewer routine appointments. If you need urgent advice you will still be able to speak to a healthcare professional the same day by calling the practice.
  • We are unable to offer online booking for appointments or prescriptions until 23 April.  If you need to make an appointment, or order a repeat prescription, please call us on 01434 684216.

Using the online booking system

If you are already registered with our online booking service for appointments and repeat prescriptions, you do not need to re-register. However as this is a different system, you will need new log-in details – please request these from 23 April by contacting the surgery either in person or by telephone.

Please note the new log-in details won’t be automatically issued, you will need to contact us to request these.

Feedback

All feedback from patients, whether a complaint or compliment, but especially constructive criticism, is welcome.

If by some mischance we fail to meet your needs or you are dissatisfied with some aspect of the service provided we invite you to let us know.  You are welcome to speak or write to any partner or the practice manager.

Make a complaint

It is very important to us that you let us know of any concerns you have about your care so we can try to resolve it straight away.

Talk to us

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care please talk to the practice team leader. If you would prefer to talk to someone who isn’t involved in your care you can talk to the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) who can help sort out any problems on your behalf. You can contact them on 0800 032 0202.

How to make a complaint

If you wish to make a complaint, please let us know as soon as possible so we can establish what happened more easily. If it is not possible to do that, please let us have details of your complaint not more than 12 months after the date the matter complained about occurred.

Complaints should be addressed to the practice manager who will discuss your concerns and investigate the matter promptly and thoroughly, and you will be notified of the conclusion and any action needed.

The complaints procedure will be explained and we will ensure your concerns are dealt with promptly, working with you to agree a plan about how this will be responded to.

Complaining on behalf of someone else

You may make a complaint on behalf of someone else. We have to know that you have their permission to do so and will require a note signed by the person concerned, unless they are incapable (because of illness) of providing this.

Ombudsman

If you feel we have not dealt with the issues you have raised as you would wish, you can contact the Parliamentary and Health Services Ombudsman. You can contact them by visiting www.ombudsman.org.uk/make-a-complaint or you can call them on 0345 015 4033.
