We offer a comprehensive travel heatlh advice service. Mary Douthwaite, our practice nurse, is the travel health specialist.
There is further information about health advice for countries worldwide (including vaccinations required) on the links below
If you think you may need vaccinations or other medical treatments (e.g anti-malarials)we do need to know where you are going before you travel. Please use the travel information forms availble via reception. MAKE SURE YOU HAND IN a travel form to recpetion at least a week before your appoint ment. Most appointments will be with Mary Douthwaite. You may need a follow-up appointment with a GP if you need medication like anti-malarials.
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as further appointments will be required with the practice nurse if you require any vaccinations.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
