The Haydon Bridge Health Centre Dispensary is now running at a reduced service for the foreseeable future. The dispensary will now be open Monday to Wednesday 8.00 until 18:00 and closing between 12.00 and 13.15. The dispensary will not be open on Thursdays and Fridays. Please can you ensure medication is ordered and collected during these times. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Online booking system – new log-in details
We have recently changed our clinical system to one that is used widely across other local healthcare services. This new system will help improve how our healthcare professionals share important information to benefit your care.

Our new online booking system is now up and running, please contact us to receive new log-ins to enable you to book an appointment or order repeat prescriptions online.

If you are already registered with our online booking service for appointments and repeat prescriptions, you do not need to re-register. However as this is a different system, you will need new log-in details – please request these now by contacting the surgery either in person or by telephone. Log in details can be given to you in person or posted to your address.

Please note the new log-in details won’t be automatically issued, you will need to contact us to request these. Thank you for your co-operation.

PrescriptionsDispensing and Prescriptions

For patients living more than one mile, as the crow flies, from a pharmacy and those who can demonstrate ‘severe difficulty’ in getting to a pharmacy the practice provides its own dispensing service.  If you are unsure whether you can benefit from this regulation the staff will be pleased to advise you. 

Patients on regular medications have their treatment details stored in the computer and copied on to the right hand side prescription counterfoil.  When further supplies are required please tick the items needed on counterfoil and hand it into the dispensary. 

Requests may be telephoned 24 hours a day/7 days a week to our prescription line 01434 688351.  Please speak clearly to avoid mistakes. 

Please allow a full 48 hours between the request for medicines and picking them up.

Please provide SAEs if you wish us to post your prescription to you.

PLEASE NOTE: The Dispensary is closed each day from 12 noon to 1.15pm.
